Soccer Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak came to an end by Sunderland prior to the international hiatus, however will the Premier League frontrunners recover against local foes Tottenham this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

For week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' latest album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of multiple charity football matches over time - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit game the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse his partner have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I won't push football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their weekend soccer team," he said.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a while too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is already more potent with Pedro and Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this game will be fairly close, however. Burnley are well organised and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

This smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

Olly's prediction: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' sole away victory this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's coach.

So, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers extending their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I will go with the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

The guest's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the season began, but they have surprised a several observers under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four matches.

A family member advised me to select Bees forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had much success on the travel this season, and Brighton are always strong at home. Brentford will try to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's view: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality proves to be quite close. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six matches.

Fulham have have plenty of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.

The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the end of last month.

But I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the only side they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely eager for a good result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's choice: I know the visitors are doing well and also that the hosts are on a bad streak... but they have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but could they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
