Loyal followers of the pop star are calling for that a individual who leaped a barricade and touched the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A viral footage reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing camera operators and lunging at Grande while the performers walked down a yellow carpet flanked by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being taken in", though legal records showed that he was scheduled to attend court on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was charged.

Record of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram account contains clips of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney concert in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last December.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is evidently a legal violation," commented an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user remarked.

Fans Express Concern Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Many supporters criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her May 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented a further response on Instagram.

A number of fans also criticised security officers at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals requested digital services to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In videos shared widely, Grande appeared shocked when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Hundreds of fans had gathered in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the second of a two-film version of the acclaimed Broadway and West End production Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected relationship between two very different sorceresses.

The musical itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of last year in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, securing two for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
